[Under His Eye: The battle for freewill]
Final Renders, Plans and Sections

The building design is multi-programme, and is focused on the enablement of interaction between different users who require special assistance.

Furthermore, the aim of this design is  to reshape perceptions around judgement and surveillance;  playing on the irony of building for those who can’t see and the constant observation they are subject to in the neighbourhood of Islington - both outside the building, as well as, by people entering to utilise the public spaces available - such as the cafeteria and the library.

Building Privacy

The public spaces hug the private spaces restricted to building users. Thus, fostering a more fluid interaction.

The private rooms are connected by the courtyard through two sets of staircases.

The building also has an elevator to ensure access for disabled people.

The design also caters for two sets of egress staircases which act as spaces for evacuation in case of a fire emergency.
